FOOTPRINTS BY THE BEACH

I walk by the beach imprinting my footsteps on the sand. Waves come and go slowly washing them away until they are no longer.

My footprints on the sand are just as ephemeral as my life. Actions and emotions that will be washed away and lost in the sands of time.

While I can, I just walk and run, enjoying the sights of birds and waves.
While I can, I tune in to the rustling of the wind and the crashing of waves.
While I can, I breathe in, this peculiar scent of seawater.
While I can, I feel the gust through my hair pulling at the slowly depleting strands.
While I can, I feel water up my ankle as my feet find comfort in the water.

I walk by the beach imprinting my footsteps on the sand. Waves come and go slowly washing them away until they are no longer.

My footprints on the sand are just as ephemeral as my life. Actions and emotions that will be washed away and lost in the sands of time.

I feel content and grateful for experiencing this joy, for as long as it will last.
